Check Your Lease First
Many leases require you to contact property management or a specific approved locksmith for lockouts, sometimes at no charge, sometimes with a small fee. Check before paying out of pocket.
If Property Management Isn't Available
After hours or on weekends, a licensed locksmith can still open your unit, you'll just want to have your lease or ID on hand to confirm you're the resident.
Should You Rekey Your Own Unit?
Most leases allow tenants to rekey with permission, especially if a previous tenant's keys are unaccounted for. Ask your property manager, we're happy to coordinate directly with them.
